JENNINGS Verna Rosemary (nee Jorgensen) — On Saturday, 19 September 2026, peacefully at Whakatāne Hospital aged 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Allan Taylor, thereafter beloved wife of the late Les Jennings. Very much-loved mother and mother-in-law of Paul and Jo, Bruce and Nicky (dec), Sheryl, Baby James (dec), Beth and Karl, Mark and Rebecca. Adored Grandma and Nana of Danielle, Cameron, Kylie, Charmaine, Nerissa, Elissa, Hannah, and Mathew. Forever loved great-grandmother of Lily, Heidi, Jack, Flynn, Mia, Noah, Atamarie, Te-Aupouri, and Bruce-Kulture. A celebration of Verna's life will be held in the Salvation Army Worship and Community Centre, King Street, Whakatane, on Thursday, 24 September at 1pm, followed by a private cremation.
