KERINS Patrick Joseph (Pat the Fisherman) —  In Kawerau, on Monday 29th June 2026 (International Fisherman's Day), in his 99th year. Loved brother of his three surviving sisters: Sheila (USA), Noreen (Ireland), and Joan (Ireland) and their families. Loved special friend to the Carpenter family, the Mercer family, the Bell family, Merv and Rose Evil, Michele Gunter and family, and many more. Pat was a collector of books, a keeper of facts, and is well known for walking the streets of Kawerau and collecting firewood. Pat will be resting at Kyle’s house until a celebration of his life will be held at 1.30pm on Friday 3rd July at Firmin Lodge, Waterhouse Street, Kawerau, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, at Pat’s request, donations to the SPCA will be appreciated and may be left at the service.
