WILSON Leslie Ernest ‘Les’ — On Sunday morning, 21st June 2026 passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at Whakatane Hospital, aged 83. Much loved husband and best friend, of Manda. Respected and beloved father and father-in-law of Lea-Anne and Peter Sheather, Carmen and Max Holder, Lorene, and Aaron. Much loved and cherished grandfather ‘Dida’ of all his grandchildren, and ‘Super Dida’ to his many great-grandchildren (with many more to come). Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Golden Pond Private Hospital, and Whakatane Hospital for their excellent care of Les. A celebration of Les’ life will be held in the St George and St John Anglican Methodist Church, Domain Road, Whakatane on Wednesday 24th June at 11am, followed by a private cremation.
