I was distressed to see a personal attack on Judy Turner (Beacon, July 17) because she expressed an opinion endorsing a regional council candidate.

I would prefer to move away from attacking people who express opinions.

Instead, the focus could be on the positive change you want to see or the qualities of the type of person you’d like to see elected.
