I would like to give a shout out to the Ōpōtiki Museum.

Covering three floors and run by a Trust and volunteers, this museum is well worth a visit.

The displays are well presented and cover not only the Ōpōtiki district but also the wider Eastern Bay.

A great place to while away an hour or two, and do visit the old shops and second hand store a few doors along.
