As the working people burn on the bonfire of the cost-of-living crisis, we find our Government locked in non-mortal combat with the real issues, like where the English name sits in Government departments, changing the te reo name of the school lunch programme, how long a homeless person can be poor and so on. One of their favourites is “What is a woman?”

My understanding is that this Government defines “a woman” as “someone who doesn’t deserve pay equity”.
