Deary me, there are some sensitive souls out there. I don’t recall mentioning anyone’s name in my last erudite missive, but here we are.

My comments were about the Taxpayers Union (TPU) whose title is designed to make them sound like spokespeople, which they are not.

However, the Covid financial support was done and dusted pretty much by the time Dame Jacinda and Labour were rewarded with an historic majority, spending most of their second term fending off all those who wanted to rewrite history.

But the hypocrisy from the TPU gets even more farcical as they too were recipients of the Labour government’s Covid largesse to the tune of $60,000.

They later promised to repay the wage supplement they received over two years, but the point is, they were critical of something they were only too happy to benefit from.

They are the facts. Case closed.
