Letters: Sullivan Lake spraying

.

Steven Barton

They sprayed by drone early this morning (Monday) not long after it had stopped raining. It rained within a couple of hours after the spraying.

The chances of the spraying being unsuccessful are really high.

In my earlier working days, I was involved with Roundup/glyphosate for a number of years and thousands of litres in numerous countries.

So, is it yet another example of council/contractor stuff ups. It’s pretty easy to check the weather forecast.

This is likely to be a waste of money. May have been great last week but they missed the boat (drone) altogether.

Whakatāne District Council has declined to respond to this letter.
