Air Chathams lifts prices

.

With events in the Middle East impacting global fuel markets, aviation fuel prices in New Zealand have risen significantly, forcing Air Chathams to increase its prices.

The airline this week announced a fuel surcharge of $20 per sector would be applied.

Effective Wednesday, the $20 surcharge will be added to the total ticket price at the time of booking and applies to all scheduled flights only.

It does not apply to infant fares, prepaid vouchers (multi-pass), or package deals. Nor does it apply to existing fully paid tickets.

The surcharge will be reviewed regularly and will be removed once fuel prices return to more normal levels.

Air Chathams said it appreciated the continued support of its loyal customers and communities and remained committed to providing reliable regional air services.

Air New Zealand has similarly increased prices, raising one-way economy fares by $10 on domestic routes, $20 on short-haul international services and $90 on long-haul flights.
