Thank you to Philip Jacobs for delivering the Beacon to Murupara and John Spring offering his paper for free.  

Philip’s welcoming smile delivered the Beacon to swimmers and parents at the Murupara Pool at 8am this morning.

This was most appreciated and as Philip mentions there is a disconnect between Whakatāne and its southern region.

This will give our communities the opportunity to feel part of the Bay of Plenty.

We look forward to regular deliveries, something I would be happy to subscribe to, once again, if it is delivered to my rural mailbox.
