Sue Macintosh and Positive-Connections group
On behalf of the Positive-Connections group, I would like to extend our appreciation to the local Citizens Advice Bureau.
During a recent discussion within our group of mainly senior active people, we realise how fortunate we are to have the CAB service within our district and to be able to walk in, with easy access in the centre of town, and speak face to face with them in confidence and with confidence.
Our group has found the volunteers to be very approachable. The CAB team regularly upskills and has comprehensive knowledge and an extensive data base.
People who have access to a computer are also able to enquire online via the CAB website. We also understand that as well as face-to-face personal contact, our CAB also receives many phone enquiries. Some of these are local and some are from out of the district.
I have found that when something is on my mind, to have organisations I can go to discuss choices, whether they be practical, legal or otherwise, can make a world of difference. The CAB is a great place to start, for good sound knowledge on options and the next steps, whether this happens to be a concern with personal rights or assistance of some sort, such as where to start with making a will?
The Positive-Connections group feels very grateful to have our Citizens Advice Bureau so accessible and reliable.
So, thanks, CAB. Thanks for your support with the well-being of our community at heart, and thanks especially for the mahi of all the wonderful volunteers.
