McKay family

We just want to thank the staff in the medical ward at Whakatāne Hospital, especially those working between May 19 and June 4, for their wonderful care of our husband, father, and poppa, John McKay.

Their approach to his care was compassionate and empathetic, and their knowledge and professionalism was second to none.

We couldn’t have asked for better care of him, and for our family as we navigated a very difficult time.

We are truly lucky to have such an amazing healthcare service in Whakatāne.
