Ōpōtiki school children whose classroom attendance has been consistently high have been given tickets to the Matariki Glow Show at the Deluxe Theatre on Saturday.

The children at Woodlands Primary and Ashbrook School had more than 90 percent attendance at school last term.

The tickets were organised by Kāhui Ako, or Communities of Learning, which works across schools to support teachers to bring their students to their full potential.

Kāhui Ako’s across school’s teacher, Debbie McKillop, said the students who received the tickets had consistent high attendance.

“These children at Woodlands Primary and Ashbrook School were among those who had more than 90 percent attendance at school last term.
