The Comm Easter Egg Hunt is hopping back to the Rose Gardens this weekend, with tons of prizes and chocolate for egg hunters.

Radio 1XX has been running the egg-cellent pre-Easter event for more than five years and this year’s organising bunnies are expecting more than 200 people at the park from 10.30am on Sunday.

“We are all looking forward to having a free fun-filled day with our community,” said event and promotions manager Keziah Barlow. “It’s the perfect chance to celebrate Easter with loads of exciting activities and a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time outdoors and create lasting memories together,” she said.

There will be search areas for children aged two to five years, and six to 12 years with spot prizes for the best Easter-themed costumes.

There will be a free sausage sizzle for children, games, facepainting and a colouring competition.

The Comm has returned as the main sponsor with owner Tony Edelstein saying it was just a small way they could give back to the community.

“It’s one of our favourite holidays to see joy in the children.”

The Warehouse has also provided support.
