Empowering women, transforming lives

FUNDING SUPPORT: Riding for the Disabled is one of the organisations that has benefited from the Women’s Impact Fund

.

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of women and children in the Eastern Bay?

Imagine being part of a powerful circle of local women, pooling their generosity to create lasting change.

That’s the essence of the Women's Impact Fund, a dynamic initiative facilitated by the Eastern Bay Community Foundation (EBCF).

The EBCF, a charitable trust deeply rooted in the community, connects generous individuals with vital local causes.

Since 2022, the Women's Impact Fund has channelled over $130,000 back into the region, directly supporting women and children.

It isn't just charity; it's local people, investing in the community's future.

The impact of the fund is felt deeply within our community. Rebecca Lumb from Whakatāne Hospital physiotherapy said: “Being able to get the funding for the SOZO machine has been life-changing for a lot of women that access the physiotherapy and lymphoedema services in Whakatāne. The community will benefit from this machine for many years to come."

Similarly, Jo Donald from Riding for the Disabled appreciates the support.

“The money we received from the Impact 100 was amazing because we have been riding here for 52 years, and we didn't have a disabled toilet."

Such stories illustrate the profound difference people’s contributions to the fund can make.

Now, more women can join this inspiring giving circle.

With over $29,000 already pledged, EBCF is eager to expand its impact before the August voting process, where donors decide which deserving initiatives will receive the funds.

A $1000 donation unlocks your opportunity to be part of this transformative movement.

Team up and combine your contribution with a friend, family member, or colleague to reach the $1000 goal. Or stagger your payment, spreading your donation over time to make it more manageable.

Every donation is eligible for a 33.3 percent tax rebate.

As a donor, you will have a direct say in where the funds are allocated. Your vote will help determine which local initiatives receive the support they need to thrive.
