Awakeri School will host its popular Top School event this weekend.
This annual event – to be held on Sunday, March 23, from 10am to 3pm, has been a tradition since 1986 and promises to be a day packed with excitement for the whole family.
Thirty Eastern Bay schools will be at this year’s event, with 300 children competing in a series of fun and challenging games, all aiming for the coveted Top School shield.
In addition to the games, the event will feature a cheerleading competition that’s sure to get everyone pumped up.
The celebration won’t stop there, as the grounds will be filled with food trucks offering local delicacies, alongside ice-creams, candy floss, coffee, and much more to keep everyone refreshed throughout the day.
For those looking for even more fun, there will be a range of activities for all ages. The younger crowd can enjoy bouncy castles, digger and tractor rides, face painting, and pony rides, while older attendees can challenge themselves in the karaoke room, test their skills in inflatable jousting, or take part in an Epic Escape Room. There’s even a thrilling car smash and zorbing activities for those seeking a bit more adventure.
Throughout the day, there will also be raffles and other chances to win prizes.
Funds raised during the event will go towards developing a new junior play area at Awakeri School.
