My letter in the Beacon, February 12, “Let’s revive the spirit of the treaty”, and the response from Dava S, February 19, “Just want to be treated equally”, have reference.

We are one people in one country. Let's put the past behind us and work together. No one is presently disadvantaged and the opportunities are vast.

The vote is open to all irrespective of skin-colour or of sex. Let's support our democratically elected leader in his work for the good of the country.  

What a wonderful situation, let's rejoice and be happy.
