If you think bridge is just a card game, think again.

The timeless classic is much more than a pastime - it's a brain-boosting, friendship-forging adventure.

Bridge is renowned for its intellectual challenges, combining strategy, memory, and teamwork in a way that stimulates the brain like no other game.

Studies have shown that regularly playing bridge can improve cognitive function and keep your mind sharp.

But it’s not just about keeping your brain active; it’s also about making connections.

Whether you’re an experienced player or a curious newcomer, bridge offers a chance to bond with people who share your interests.

Whakatāne Bridge Club has over 100 active members over a wide age range, with evening and daytime sessions held each week.

The club is holding learner lessons for anyone who wants to find out more about the game and give it a go.

The lessons are being held at the Bridge Clubrooms on Commerce Street at 7pm on Thursdays starting 27th February. To register interest or find out more phone or text: Jenny 027 648 8838 or Chris 027 424 3132
