Eastern Bay schools are in the process of having new carpet laid (Beacon, January 23).
Is the new carpet the relatively cheap American nylon carpet that burns easily, melts and emits toxic gasses while burning?
Or is it New Zealand wool carpet that is warm, comfortable, durable and does not burn and emit toxic gasses.
Also, New Zealand should be promoting the New Zealand wool industry rather than buying an inferior overseas product.
