One of rugby league’s most celebrated internationals will be visiting the Eastern Bay next month to support the Eastern Bay Community Foundation.

Tawera Nikau will be special guest speaker at an event at the Awakeri Events Centre on February 28.

An evening of empowerment, personal reflection, and community support is promised with Mr Nikau’s journey being one of overcoming adversity, mental strength, and leadership.

He has faced significant life challenges, both on and off the field, and has emerged as an example of resilience and strength.

Tickets for the event, which includes finger food and a dessert bar, are $40 with all proceeds going back to support the local community through the community foundation.
