The Whakatāne Camera Club has produced a remarkable collection of photos throughout 2024.

The Beacon presents a selection of images from some of its talented members.

Each month, the club’s members submitted their work across various categories, including Open and Nature, along with a rotating Set Topic.

These topics ranged from portraits, botanical, and close-up, to landscape, creative, architecture, monochrome, low light, food, sets, and even a mystery object challenge, where members were assigned random objects to photograph, said club president Waverley Klein Ovink.

The club meets on the first Tuesday of each month from February onwards, at the Fletcher Cole Hall in McGarvey Road.
