Looking for something to keep the kids busy these holidays? Good news is a family favourite will soon be on our stage in Whakatāne.
Dr Seuss’ classic tale The Cat in the Hat is returning to Whakatāne Little Theatre on January 22 with two shows.
Featuring zany characters, imaginative storytelling, and playful humour, Dr Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat live show stays true to the original story.
Join Sally, her brother, and their over-protective pet Fish as they meet the mischief-making Cat in his red-striped hat for an afternoon of fun, chaos, and valuable lessons about creativity and imagination.
This lively production runs for approximately 50 minutes and is perfect for children aged 3 and up.
Young and old alike will be captivated by the Cat’s antics and his unforgettable companions, Thing One and Thing Two. As they turn the house upside down, they show us all how to have fun with nothing but a little imagination.
“It’s fun to have fun, but you have to know how.”
The show is now on tour over summer across Australia and New Zealand.
Originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain, Dr Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (Australasia).
