The Treaty vs the Treaty Prinicples Bill

Contributed

Alistair Anderson

The Treaty/Tiriti of Waitangi is the founding document of New Zealand society.

In 1987 the Court of Appeal adjudicated and decided that: signatories to this document are  Treaty partners .

To change one word of this document,  without the express permission of your Treaty partners, represents an attempted coup.

The Government needs to withdraw the Bill immediately and apologise to its Treaty  partners.
