As polling day approaches, it would be very interesting, if not essential, we are made fully aware of the attitude toward the building of the controversial marina by our elected representatives.
Their support or otherwise of this costly structure as per the current proposal, along with a binding cost/benefit analysis, must be made public and debated.
The terms of contract, if it is to proceed, must be total with no escape clauses or golden handshakes to those involved should failure occur.
Also of interest must be the organisations and/or persons pursuing its construction and implementation.
The disclosed cost must be full with penalties should it fail.
Anything less than this will engender distrust and lead to the conclusion that we, the ratepayers, are being taken for a very expensive ride.
