An elderly man shopping at Awakeri Store has had his wallet stolen.

The suspect shoved the man, who dropped his wallet, and then stole his cash and cards.

On Saturday morning, Stirling Sports was broken into at 4.30am.

A group of people gained entry to the sports shop by forcing the front door open.

Nothing was stolen and they left the site in a vehicle.

Store owner Åsa Scholtens said although the culprits made it through the first door, they could not get past the second caged door.

“That was really pleasing. They’ve tried a few times since we’ve had the new security; hopefully, it’ll be a bit discouraging,” she said.

Glass had to be replaced and maintenance done on the entrance.

“It’s not nice for it to happen at any time, but it feels better than when they get in,” she said.
