An investment of $5 has paid dividends for a regular punter at Whakatāne’s Kopeopeo’s Lucky Halfway Store.
The man, a regular Instant Kiwi buyer, has scratched himself the top prize worth $75,000.
Store co-owner Sophie Sang said the man did not initially realise he had won the top prize. Both he and staff were shocked.
The win came from a new $5 Instant Kiwi game called Hilux which has a total prize pool of $2,568,750, including five Toyota Hilux GR Sport.
Three vehicles remain with another already won at Riverton.
The Halfway Store also sold a winning third divison ticket in Saturday night’s draw.
