Why does a simple self-evident investigation in New Zealand take many months to perform?
A case in point is the toppling of a power pylon in Northland.
The obvious reason is discarded, and a group of overpaid consultants will be engaged at an extremely handsome remuneration to inform the general populous of the cause and effect of this display of incompetence, when anyone with an IQ above single digits could, in the words of Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown, have the problem solved in less than half a day and without the help of a single consultant.
The reason, I suspect, is the inadequate control of staff and indeed, the low level of competence as displayed by those entrusted with our power supply.
This, of course, allows the powers to be to derogate their responsibilities and have a well-covered derriere when the blame game starts, as it will.
These investigations produce no beneficial reasoning or substantiated logic and serve no purpose other than protect the incompetence of those in charge, to not to impact on their salary entitlement presently and in the future.
